Placements24 seeks a Process Safety Engineer for a fully remote role near Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will manage safety protocols remotely with periodic site visits, conducting PHAs, developing PSM systems, and enforcing regulatory compliance to safeguard personnel and assets.

Applicants should have a strong track record in oil & gas or chemical industries, with CSP or CFPS desirable. Travel to Richards Bay is required occasionally.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in chemical/Mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of process safety engineering experience in oil & gas or chemical industries.
• Strong knowledge of process safety principles and standards (e.g., OSHA PSM, CCPS).
• Proven experience conducting PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA/FMEA).
• Familiarity with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and risk reduction measures.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct PHAs (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA).
• Develop and implement process safety management (PSM) systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver process safety training for plant personnel.
• Oversee management of change (MOC) for process safety.
• Perform safety audits and facility inspections.
• Contribute to design/modification for inherent safety.
• Maintain process safety documentation.
