Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Process Safety Engineer to join their international team. The role focuses on developing and auditing process safety management systems, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture across operations worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have a chemical engineering background, 8+ years in process safety, expertise in HAZOP/LOPA/FMEA, and strong communication skills suitable for remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive process safety experience with PSM.
• Expertise in PHA methods: HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA.
• Knowledge of global safety standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Certifications such as CSP are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) programs in line with regulations.
• Conduct PHAs including HAZOP, LOPA, and FMEA.
• Oversee incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Develop risk reduction strategies and safeguards.
• Conduct regular safety audits of facilities globally.
• Provide training to site personnel on process safety principles.
• Stay updated on evolving process safety technologies and standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and management to embed safety across the process lifecycle.
• Develop and track KPIs for process safety performance.
