Placements24 represents a major international Oil & Gas player seeking a Process Safety Engineer for a fully remote role. The engineer will lead remote PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA/FMEA), develop robust Process Safety Management programs, and ensure compliance across global facilities.

The role requires 6+ years of process safety experience, strong knowledge of HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, MOC, and SIS, plus the ability to train and advise operations teams worldwide.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in process safety engineering, preferably in Oil & Gas or petrochemical.
• Deep knowledge of process safety standards and risk assessment methods (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL).
• Experience with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and functional safety desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead remote workshops.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with relevant safety software and analysis tools.
• Commitment to promoting a strong safety culture.
• Reliable internet and suitable home office for remote work.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct remote PHAs including HAZOP, LOPA, and FMEA for various units.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Process Safety Management programs per international standards.
• Assess and manage risks with hazardous chemicals and processes.
• Review and approve MOC procedures to ensure safety implications are addressed.
• Investigate process safety incidents, determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver training on process safety principles to global teams.
• Provide expert advice on safety-critical equipment design, maintenance, and inspection.
• Monitor and audit compliance with safety regulations and policies.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and maintenance to foster safety culture.
• Stay updated with emerging process safety practices.
