Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Industrial Process Optimization Engineer to enhance manufacturing efficiency for Soweto-area operations. The role works remotely with on-site teams via virtual channels to identify and implement data-driven improvements.

You will utilize data analysis, simulation tools, and lean Six Sigma methods to drive productivity gains, cost reductions, and quality improvements across production lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial engineering with process optimization.
• Proficient in data analysis, process mapping, and simulation software.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Excellent remote communication and self-management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement optimized workflows using simulation tools.
• Apply lean and Six Sigma practices to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Create process documentation including flowcharts, SOPs and metrics.
• Collaborate virtually with plant managers and engineers to sustain changes.
• Monitor effects of changes and propose further optimization.
