Placements24 is seeking a Principal Electrical Design Lead for a fully remote role. You will guide a distributed team in the development of advanced electronics, focusing on high-speed digital design, analog circuits, and power management.

You will define specifications, mentor engineers, and drive design verification from concept through production. You will collaborate across mechanical, firmware, and software teams, manage component selections, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical hardware design and development.
• Proven experience leading electrical engineering teams and projects.
• Expertise in high-speed digital design, analog circuit design, and power management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process for new product development from concept to mass production.
• Define architectural specifications and design requirements for complex electronic systems.
• Oversee PCB design including schematic capture, layout, and signal integrity analysis.
• Manage component selection considering performance, cost, and supply chain.
• Direct and mentor a team of electrical engineers, promoting technical excellence.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and software teams for system integration.
• Develop and implement design verification and validation strategies, including testing and debugging.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in electronics design.
• Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to the team.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
