Placements24 is seeking a Principal Electrical Design Lead for a fully remote role. You will guide a distributed team in the development of advanced electronics, focusing on high-speed digital design, analog circuits, and power management.

You will define specifications, mentor engineers, and drive design verification from concept through production. You will collaborate across mechanical, firmware, and software teams, manage component selections, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical hardware design and development.
• Proven experience leading electrical engineering teams and projects.
• Expertise in high-speed digital design, analog circuit design, and power management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process for new product development from concept to mass production.
• Define architectural specifications and design requirements for complex electronic systems.
• Oversee PCB design including schematic capture, layout, and signal integrity analysis.
• Manage component selection considering performance, cost, and supply chain.

• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro).
• Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC/EMI principles.
• Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and FPGAs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams and projects effectively.
