Job summary

Placements24 seeks an Energy Storage Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of advanced battery storage solutions for grid-connected and behind-the-meter needs in a fully remote capacity.

You will analyze performance data, ensure safety and standards compliance, and collaborate with project managers, software engineers, and external partners to advance next-generation storage technologies while enjoying a flexible, remote work setup with a globally distributed team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years in design/engineering of energy storage systems or power electronics.
Strong understanding of Li-ion batteries, inverters, and control systems.
Familiarity with grid interconnection standards and power system analysis.
Proficiency in relevant design and simulation tools.
Excellent problem-solving and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer battery energy storage systems (BESS) for grid-connected and behind-the-meter applications.
Develop system architecture, select components, and create electrical schematics.
Analyze system performance, efficiency, and reliability data.
Ensure designs comply with safety standards, codes, and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers and external partners.
Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and operations.
