Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote Electrical Design Engineer focusing on Power Systems to join a expanding global team. This entirely remote role lets you contribute electrical design expertise from anywhere while delivering detailed designs for power infrastructure.

You will develop schematics, perform load flow and fault current analyses, select components, and ensure compliance with NEC/IEC and client specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3–6 years of experience in electrical design for power systems.
• Proficiency with CAD software AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Solid understanding of power system components, protection principles, and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical design documents, including schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Perform electrical calculations such as load flow, fault current, and voltage drop analysis.
• Specify electrical components, materials, and equipment for power distribution and control systems.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry codes, standards (e.g., NEC, IEC), and client specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to coordinate design efforts remotely.
• Review vendor submittals and provide technical support during procurement and construction phases.
