Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer focused on Power Systems for a fully remote role. You will design, analyze, and optimize complex power distribution networks and energy management systems from a home office, collaborating with a distributed team of engineers and project managers.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization and at least 6 years of related experience, plus proficiency in ETAP, PSS/E, and PSCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in electrical power system design and analysis.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software: ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD.
• Strong understanding of grid interconnection, protection schemes, and renewable energy technologies.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in a virtual team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze electrical power system designs, including load flow, short-circuit, and protection studies.
• Design and specify components for high/medium voltage distribution systems, substations, and renewable energy integration.
• Create detailed technical documentation: schematics, single-line diagrams, equipment specs.
• Collaborate with remote team using PM and collaboration platforms.
• Ensure designs comply with international and local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for power system installations.
