Placements24 is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems to join its remote-first team. You will design, analyze, and implement robust power systems for critical infrastructure, leading technical initiatives from home.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior engineers, guiding protection and automation studies, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-impact projects. A master's in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
10+ years of hands-on experience in design and engineering of power systems.
In-depth knowledge of power system protection, control, and automation technologies.
Proficiency with power system simulation software like PSS/E, ETAP, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
Experience with renewable energy integration and grid connection studies is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and remote collaboration skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and engineering of high-voltage and medium-voltage power systems, including substations, distribution networks, and protection schemes.
Perform detailed power system studies, such as load flow, short circuit, stability, and arc flash analysis.
Develop technical specifications, P&IDs, and engineering drawings for power system equipment and infrastructure.
Oversee the procurement, installation, and commissioning of power system components and projects, providing remote technical support.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant national and international power system standards and safety regulations.
Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the overall technical strategy of the power systems group within a remote work framework.
