Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in power systems design for a fully remote opportunity. Based anywhere, you will design, analyze and specify electrical infrastructure with a focus on reliability and efficiency. You will work independently within a distributed team on diverse projects across industries.

The role requires 6+ years of experience, proficiency with ETAP/CYME/DIgSILENT and AutoCAD, and strong communication skills to thrive in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• B.Eng or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical power systems design.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software (ETAP, CYME, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).

Responsabilités

• Perform detailed electrical design for medium and low voltage power distribution systems.
• Develop single-line diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, and wiring details using CAD software.
• Conduct power system studies, including load flow, short circuit analysis, and protection coordination.
• Prepare technical specifications, equipment schedules, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards (IEC, IEEE) and local regulations.
• Provide technical support during procurement, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
• Review designs from external consultants and vendors for compliance and quality.
