Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead power distribution and grid infrastructure initiatives in a fully remote role. You will guide design reviews, mentor engineers, and drive modernization of electrical networks from a distributed, virtual team environment.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in power distribution, deep knowledge of substation design and protection relays, and proficiency with PSS/E, ETAP, and CYME. Excellent remote collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in electrical power distribution engineering.
• Proven expertise in power system analysis software (PSS/E, ETAP, CYME).
• Strong understanding of substation design, protection relays, and grid operational principles.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing complex engineering projects.
• Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of medium and high-voltage power distribution systems.
• Develop engineering standards, specifications, and best practices for distribution network planning and operations.
• Conduct complex power system studies, including load forecasting, stability analysis, and protection coordination for grid expansion and upgrades.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring the quality and integrity of designs.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers, fostering their technical growth and project contributions.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, stakeholders, and field teams in a remote setting to ensure successful project execution.
