Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems for a fully remote role. You will design, analyze, and implement robust power infrastructure to support our global operations, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical networks.

Responsibilities include performing load flow, short-circuit, and stability studies, selecting equipment like transformers and relays, and ensuring compliance with IEEE/IEC standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• 5+ years of experience in the design and analysis of power systems.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software (ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD).
• Strong knowledge of protection relays, grid codes, and renewable energy integration.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and analyze complex power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, and stability studies using specialized power system software.
• Specify and select electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and protection relays.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards (IEEE, IEC) and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders to integrate power systems seamlessly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to power system operation and maintenance in a remote capacity.
