Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Electrical Engineer specializing in power systems to join a fully distributed team. You will design, analyze, and optimize electrical infrastructure for renewable energy and industrial projects from your home office, interfacing with stakeholders via remote tools.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, 4+ years in power systems, and proficiency with ETAP, PSS/E or DIgSILENT.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
4+ years of hands-on experience in power systems engineering
Proficiency with power system analysis software (ETAP, PSS/E, DIgSILENT)
Experience with renewable energy integration (solar, wind) is a significant advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration

Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring layouts for power distribution systems.
Perform load calculations, fault current analysis, and protective device coordination studies.
Specify electrical components, equipment, and materials based on project requirements.
Conduct technical reviews of vendor submittals and engineering designs from third parties.
Troubleshoot and provide remote technical support for electrical systems during installation and commissioning phases.
Stay current with emerging technologies and standards in the electrical engineering field.
