Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Pharmaceutical Process Engineer to contribute to global manufacturing excellence. This fully remote role focuses on design, optimization, and scale-up of pharmaceutical processes to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective production of medicines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years' experience in pharmaceutical/process engineering.
• Experience with API synthesis, formulation, sterile filling.
• Experience with process scale-up, validation, tech transfer.
• Familiar with cGMP and process safety principles.
• Strong remote project management and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize pharmaceutical manufacturing processes focusing on efficiency, yield, and quality.
• Create process flow diagrams, mass/energy balances, and P&IDs for new/existing processes.
• Lead process validation activities including protocol development and reporting.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement robust solutions.
• Conduct risk assessments (e.g., FMEA) and implement control strategies.
• Collaborate with vendors, engineering, and production on improvements.
