Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Biopharmaceutical Process Engineer to join a remote-first team focused on design, development, scale-up, and optimization of manufacturing processes for biologics. You will leverage expertise in upstream and downstream processing to enable robust, compliant production of therapeutics with global impact.

The role emphasizes cGMP compliance, CAPA-driven improvement, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, manufacturing, QA, and regulatory affairs

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process development and scale-up within the biopharmaceutical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of upstream (bioreactors) and downstream (chromatography, filtration) unit operations.
• Familiarity with cGMP regulations and relevant industry guidelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes, including cell culture, fermentation, purification, and filtration.
• Conduct process validation studies and ensure adherence to cGMP standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Troubleshoot process deviations and implement effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs.
• Prepare process descriptions, validation protocols, and reports for regulatory submissions and internal documentation.
