Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Petrochemical Process Engineer to join a fully remote technical support team. The role focuses on optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives for petrochemical operations worldwide from a home office.

You will leverage advanced simulation tools and data analysis to enhance plant performance, ensure safety, and drive efficiency across global assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering within the petrochemical or oil and gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of petrochemical processes, equipment, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus) and advanced data analysis techniques.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, and separation principles relevant to petrochemicals.
• Excellent remote communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical expertise and support for petrochemical processes, including refining, cracking, and polymerization units.
• Analyze process data, identify performance bottlenecks, and recommend optimization strategies to improve yield and reduce operating costs.
• Conduct troubleshooting for complex operational issues, offering timely and effective solutions.
• Develop and refine process models and simulations to predict performance and evaluate proposed changes.
• Collaborate virtually with site-based operations, maintenance, and management teams.
• Ensure adherence to stringent safety and environmental standards in all recommendations and analyses.
