Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Specialist for a fully remote role. You will manage end-to-end payroll across regions, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

This remote position requires excellent attention to detail and collaboration with HR and finance teams. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of payroll processing experience, proficiency in SAGE/Workday/ADP and MS Excel, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a post-secondary diploma in payroll or accounting is an asset.
• 3–5 years of payroll processing and administration experience.
• Proficiency with payroll software (SAGE, Workday, ADP) and MS Excel.
• Solid understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Remote work experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or benefits.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and tax laws.
• Prepare and file payroll tax remittances.
• Reconcile payroll reports and investigate discrepancies.
• Administer payroll-related benefits and deductions.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and pay stubs.
• Keep up to date with payroll best practices and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with HR and finance to ensure data accuracy.
• Generate regular payroll reports for management.
