About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Network Infrastructure Specialist to manage and maintain their global network systems from the comfort of their home office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of our client's robust network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our network architecture, deploying new technologies, and troubleshooting complex issues. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with distributed teams. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize speed and reliability.
• Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining security protocols, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues remotely, often under pressure, with minimal downtime.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions, staying abreast of emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to integrate new systems and ensure interoperability.
• Provide on-call support for critical network incidents as part of a rotating schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in network administration and infrastructure management.
• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and network security principles.
• Proven experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtual private networks (VPNs).
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools and performance analysis.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Ansible) are a plus.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
