Placements24 seeks a Remote Network Infrastructure Specialist to design, deploy, and manage secure networks for a global client base. Work from anywhere in South Africa in a remote-first team, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance of critical network assets.

The role requires a minimum of 6 years in network administration, strong TCP/IP and routing knowledge, firewall/VPN expertise, and familiarity with cloud networking (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in network administration and infrastructure management.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA) and VPN technologies.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Experience with cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS) are highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities
