You will conduct confidential searches for C-suite and senior leaders, manage market mapping, and engage top talent globally, all from a remote South Africa base.

The role requires deep sector knowledge and outstanding assessment skills, with a self-driven, client-facing mindset.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in executive search with Mining & Resources specialization.
• Track record of senior-level placements (CEO/VP) in mining.
• Deep knowledge of mining lifecycle, geology, engineering, operations, and finance.
• Strong research, analysis, and candidate assessment skills.
• Excellent remote communication, negotiation, and client management.
• Extensive global mining industry network.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting; relevant degree; MBA desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead confidential executive search assignments for senior roles in mining and resources.
• Develop and implement search strategies including market mapping and candidate engagement.
• Assess candidates for technical expertise, leadership, strategic thinking, and cultural fit.
• Build and nurture relationships with client stakeholders and industry networks.
• Identify and engage top executive talent globally, including passive candidates.
• Prepare detailed candidate profiles and market intelligence reports.
• Support business development by identifying new opportunities within the network.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity and client service.
