Placements24 is seeking a Lead Recruitment Consultant to spearhead our mining and resources recruitment initiatives in a fully remote role. You will manage a portfolio of high-value clients, sourcing engineers, geologists and leaders for major mining operations, while mentoring junior consultants and driving business growth from a remote setting.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in mining recruitment, strong leadership, and expert sourcing capabilities, with a background in HR or related fields.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of recruitment experience with a strong Mining & Resources focus.
• Proven ability to lead recruitment projects and manage senior client relationships.
• Deep knowledge of technical roles in mining operations, exploration, and processing.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems and advanced sourcing techniques.
• Thrives in remote work with strong self-motivation and time management.
• Bachelor’s or higher in Mining, Geology, HR or related field is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment processes for specialized roles within Mining & Resources, ensuring efficient delivery.
• Manage and develop relationships with key clients as their primary recruitment partner.
• Develop and implement advanced sourcing strategies to attract top talent (engineers, geologists, metallurgists, operational leaders).
• Conduct rigorous candidate assessments, including technical interviews and reference checks.
• Provide market intelligence and advisory support on talent acquisition and retention strategies.
• Mentor junior recruitment consultants within the team.
• Drive business development to expand client base and secure new mandates.
• Ensure a superior candidate experience throughout the lifecycle.
• Stay updated on industry trends, safety regulations and technological advancements.
