Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• 0-3 years experience in public relations, media relations, communications, or related field; internships or entry-level welcome.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with media monitoring tools or PR software is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote team members.
• Genuine interest in media relations and public relations.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their use in PR is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Identify and research relevant media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and influencers for targeted outreach campaigns.
• Assist in developing and maintaining media contact lists and databases.
• Support the coordination of media outreach activities, including pitching stories and arranging interviews.
• Draft and proofread media materials such as press releases, media advisories, and fact sheets.
• Monitor media coverage and compile reports on key placements and emerging trends.
• Respond to basic media inquiries and direct them to the appropriate team member.
• Assist in organizing virtual press conferences, media briefings, and other PR events.
• Collaborate with the PR team to ensure timely execution of outreach strategies.
• Help track and analyze campaign performance metrics.
• Maintain an organized system for managing outreach tasks and communication records.
