Placements24 is seeking a Remote Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in automation and robotics. You will design, analyze, and optimize automated mechanical systems and robotic end-effectors from your home office, collaborating with controls and software teams to ensure seamless integration.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Robotics Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in automation or mechatronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or Robotics.
• 5+ years experience in mechanical design with focus on automation/robotics/mechatronics.
• Expertise in robotics design, automation principles, and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop novel automated mechanical systems and robotic end-effectors using CAD tools.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials for automated machinery.
• Perform kinematic and dynamic analysis of robotic systems to ensure performance and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with controls engineers and software developers to integrate mechanical designs with automation logic.
• Conduct feasibility studies and conceptual design work for new automation solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing automated systems for improved performance and reliability.
