Placements24 is seeking a remote Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong automotive background to join a global engineering team. You will conceptualize, design and develop automotive components and systems using CAD/CAE tools, working independently from a remote location.

With 7+ years in automotive mechanical design, you will use CATIA/SolidWorks and CAE tools such as ANSYS/Abaqus, collaborating with international teams and striving for innovative vehicle solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of automotive mechanical design experience.
• Expert CAD/CAE tool proficiency and understanding of automotive systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive components and sub-systems using CAD software.
• Perform structural and thermal analyses to optimize designs.
• Create 2D drawings, 3D models, and BOMs for manufacturing.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams across regions.
• Troubleshoot design issues and propose innovative solutions.
• Stay updated on materials and manufacturing processes in automotive.
