Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an innovative Automation Mechanical Engineer for a fully remote role to design and develop automated systems. The position requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, and automation.
You will work with a distributed team to create mechanical drawings, specify components, and ensure seamless integration with controls and software. A bachelor’s degree and 6+ years in automated machinery design are expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
- Minimum of 6 years designing automated machinery or robotic systems.
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Inventor.
- Experience with robotics, mechatronics systems and industrial automation.
Responsibilities
- Design and integrate mechanical components for automated equipment and robotic cells.
- Develop concepts for new automated solutions to meet client needs.
- Create detailed drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions for automated machinery.
- Collaborate with controls engineers and software teams for system integration.
- Perform technical reviews and risk assessments for automated systems.
- Provide remote support for mechanical issues.
