Placements24 is seeking a Remote Mechanical Engineer to drive product development from anywhere. You will conceptualize, design, and bring innovative mechanical products to market, collaborating with a distributed team of engineers, designers, and product managers worldwide.

This role emphasizes 3D CAD design, stress analysis, thermal management, and close work with overseas manufacturing partners to ensure manufacturability and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in mechanical product design, esp. consumer electronics.
• Proficient in SolidWorks or Fusion 360 and simulation tools.
• Experience with materials, plastics, stamping, and molding.
• Strong remote collaboration and testing methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of new consumer electronics products.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
• Perform stress analysis, thermal management, and simulations.
• Collaborate with overseas manufacturing partners.
• Coordinate with industrial designers and electrical engineers.
• Participate in design reviews and process improvements.
