Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a senior Manufacturing Operations Lead to join a fully remote team, overseeing operations near Paarl from a distance. You’ll drive operational excellence, implement best practices, and shape production strategies with on-site partners, leveraging MES and ERP systems to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.

This role requires 10+ years in manufacturing operations, lean and Six Sigma know-how, and proven remote leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations management.
• Proven track record of improving operational performance and efficiency.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Excellent remote leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Proficiency in MES and ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Oversee production planning and scheduling to meet demand forecasts.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and implement quality control measures remotely.
• Manage budgets and resource allocation for manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to optimize material flow.
• Provide leadership and guidance to on-site operational teams through virtual communication.
