Placements24, on behalf of a leading international law firm, seeks a Remote Litigation Attorney to join a distributed virtual team based in South Africa. The role offers autonomy, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to manage complex civil litigation from anywhere in the country.

You will handle all phases of litigation, conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and represent clients in mediations or court appearances where feasible.

Qualifications

LLB degree from a recognized university.
Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
Minimum 5 years of dedicated litigation experience.
Strong civil procedure knowledge and legal writing skills.
Proficiency with e-discovery platforms and virtual collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of litigation from strategy to settlement.
Draft and argue motions, briefs, and court documents.
Represent clients in mediations and court appearances where feasible.
Interview clients and witnesses; gather evidence and prepare testimony.
Coordinate with remote legal team and meet deadlines using digital case management.
