Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our client, a distinguished South African law firm, in a fully remote capacity. You will handle diverse commercial disputes from inception to resolution, including trials and appeals, manage case files, perform in-depth research, draft pleadings, and represent clients in court and ADR.

The ideal candidate is admitted to the High Court of South Africa with at least 6 years post-qualification experience in commercial

Qualifications

• LLB degree or equivalent qualification.
• Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, with fidelity fund certificate.
• 6+ years post-qualification experience in commercial litigation.
• Proven success handling complex commercial disputes including trials.
• Strong legal research, drafting pleadings, and court procedures.
• Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other court documents.
• Represent clients in pre-trial, trial, and appellate proceedings.
• Examine witnesses, experts, and opposing parties.
• Negotiate settlements and engage in mediation/arbitration.
