Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a driven Litigation Associate to join a remote-first legal practice servicing clients from the Richards Bay region and beyond.

You will handle all phases of litigation, from initial assessment through trial and appeal, in a fully remote setting. This role rewards autonomy, strong case management, and a client-centric approach with excellent research and advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with at least 5 years of dedicated litigation experience.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlements.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
• Interview clients and witnesses and gather evidence for expert testimony.
• Collaborate with senior partners and other lawyers on complex cases.
• Maintain detailed and accurate case files and client communications.
