Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Lead Performance Analyst specializing in athletics to join its sports science team. You will lead a team of analysts, leverage data analytics and performance tracking technologies, and provide insights that drive athlete performance and strategic decisions.

Collaborating with coaches and athletes, you will translate complex data into actionable strategies, develop reporting mechanisms, and mentor junior analysts while exploring new performance

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Sports Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in performance analysis, preferably within elite athletics.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software (R, Python).
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage complex analytical projects.
• Strong understanding of athletic training principles and biomechanics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis of athlete performance data using various tools and methodologies.
• Develop and implement advanced data collection and analysis protocols for track and field disciplines.
• Provide detailed performance reports and actionable insights to coaches, athletes, and the sports science department.
• Mentor and guide junior performance analysts, ensuring consistency and quality in analytical output.
• Collaborate with technology partners to identify and integrate new performance tracking solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, influencing training and strategy.
