Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Sports Analyst to join our team remotely, supporting performance data for athletes and teams. You will extract insights from large datasets, build predictive models, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for coaches and management.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in sports analytics, strong skills in R/Python and data visualization (Tableau/Power BI), and excellent communication to translate technical results to non-technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Sports Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sports analytics or data analysis.
• Proficiency in statistical software (R, Python) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong understanding of sports rules, strategies, and performance metrics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with database management and SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to athlete performance, game statistics, and training loads.
• Develop predictive models and statistical analyses to identify performance trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Create compelling visualizations and reports to communicate findings to coaches and management.
• Collaborate with coaching staff to integrate data insights into training and game strategies.
• Stay current with advancements in sports analytics, data science techniques, and relevant technologies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new data collection methods and tools.
