Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Sports Data Analyst to join our innovative team in a fully remote capacity. You will develop advanced models, process large sports datasets, and deliver actionable insights to coaches, management, and athletes.

The ideal candidate holds a Masters/PhD in a quantitative field, 5+ years in analytics (sports analytics preferred), and strong Python/R, SQL, and data-visualization skills to drive performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field (stats, data science, CS, math).
• 5+ years of data analytics, with sports analytics focus.
• Proficiency in Python or R and data manipulation libraries.
• Strong SQL/database management knowledge.
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI and dashboard design.
• Excellent communication to present to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine advanced models to track performance and outcomes.
• Collect and process large volumes of sports data from diverse sources.
• Translate findings into clear insights for coaches, management, athletes.
• Design dashboards and reports to visualize KPIs and trends.
• Collaborate with coaching staff to apply data insights to training.
• Mentor junior analysts and help grow the analytics function.
