Placements24 is seeking a Director of Sports Science to lead strategic integration of scientific principles into athletic performance. This fully remote role oversees a team of sports scientists, analyzes performance data, and collaborates with coaching staff to implement evidence-based practices.

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD or MSc in a relevant field, extensive senior-level experience in elite sports, and a proven track record in performance testing, data analysis, and research

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in a senior sports science role within elite or professional sports.
• Proven expertise in performance testing, data analysis, and applied methodologies.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Exceptional research capabilities and peer-reviewed publications.
• Familiarity with advanced performance monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sports science programs focusing on performance optimization and injury mitigation.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of sports scientists, physiologists, and nutritionists.
• Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting on athlete performance metrics.
• Collaborate with coaching staff to align sports science strategies with training and competition plans.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and technological advancements in sports science.
