Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Sports Performance Analyst to drive data-driven insights for athletic performance from Cape Town. You will collect, analyze, and interpret high-volume data to optimize training, injury prevention, and decision-making.

Work entirely remotely with coaches, athletes, and performance staff. You will use Python, R, SQL, and analytics tools to deliver actionable recommendations and visualizations for performance optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field.
• Proven sports performance analysis experience.
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas/NumPy), R, or SQL.
• Experience with analytics software is a plus.
• Strong ability to translate data into actionable remote insights.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize performance data from wearables, video, and logs.
• Analyze athlete performance, fatigue, and biomechanics using stats tools.
• Develop reports and visualizations communicating findings to coaches.
• Collaborate with scientists and coaches to design data-driven programs.
• Stay updated on sports tech and methodologies.
• Monitor trends to identify improvements and innovations.
