The role emphasizes independent work, cross-functional collaboration, and presenting insights to diverse audiences remotely from Pietermaritzburg or surrounding areas. A master's in a quantitative field and 5+ years of data analysis experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Sports Management, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within sports.
• Proficiency in statistical software (R, Python) and SQL database querying.
• Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with remote presentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to sports performance, player statistics, and market dynamics.
• Develop predictive models and forecasting tools to identify trends and opportunities in Leisure & Sports.
• Generate comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
