Placements24 is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to spearhead critical projects from a fully remote capacity. You will guide a team of engineers, set technical direction, and drive the design and development of advanced mechanical systems.

The role requires a proactive problem-solver with a proven track record of leading engineering initiatives and delivering results in a remote work environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams across product, software, and operations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in leadership or team lead role.
• Experience with CAD software, FEA, and CFD.
• Proven ability to lead a remote team and deliver results.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers in design, analysis, and validation of mechanical systems.
• Define and implement engineering best practices and standards for the team.
• Oversee the product development lifecycle from concept to production, aligning with timelines and budgets.
• Drive technical decision-making, resolve complex engineering challenges, and champion innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with product management, software, and operations in a remote setting.
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
