Placements24 is seeking a Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer to spearhead the design and development of sophisticated automation systems in a fully remote role. You will guide a team of engineers from conception to implementation, ensuring delivery of complex mechanical solutions.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering; PhD is a plus.
10+ years in mechanical engineering with 3–5+ years in leadership roles.
Extensive experience designing and integrating complex automated systems.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and implementation of complex mechanical systems for automated processes.
Provide technical direction and mentorship to remote team of mechanical engineers.
Oversee CAD models, simulations, and system-architecture documentation.
Ensure integration with electrical, control, and software components.
Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and performance validation.
Define system requirements with product management and ensure manufacturability.
Enforce engineering standards, best practices, and documentation protocols.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for mechanical projects.
