You will mentor a team, drive CAD modeling, FEA, and validation, and collaborate with electrical, controls, and software engineers to ensure robust delivery from concept to deployment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, focused on automation systems or robotics.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor) and FEA.
• Strong understanding of automation principles, control systems, and mechatronics.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and remote-team leadership skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and development of complex automation systems, including robotics and handling.
• Mentor and manage a team of mechanical design engineers, providing guidance and development.
• Oversee conceptualization, detailed design, and validation for new automation equipment.
• Use CAD software for 3D modeling, complex assemblies, and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform advanced analyses, including FEA for structural integrity and dynamics.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, software, and project managers for integration.
• Drive design best practices, standards, and innovations within the team.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables for mechanical design.
• Stay updated on automation tech, robotics, and manufacturing processes.
