Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for a fully remote role in industrial automation. You will spearhead design and development of advanced mechanical systems for automated manufacturing, guiding a globally distributed team and collaborating with controls and software engineers.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mechanical design, a master’s or PhD, strong CAD (Inventor/SolidWorks) and experience with FEA/CFD, and a track record of delivering complex projects remotely.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or PhD is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, especially in industrial automation/robotics.
• Proven track record leading engineering projects and teams.
• Expertise with 3D CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks) and advanced simulation tools.
• Deep understanding of mechanical systems, kinematics, dynamics, control theory, and materials selection.
• Proven ability to manage remote teams and collaborate virtually.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development of industrial automation systems from concept to production.
• Define system architecture, select components, and ensure integration of mechanical, electrical, and controls.
