Qualifications

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust security architectures for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Define and enforce security standards, best practices, and automation strategies for infrastructure and applications. Architect and deploy advanced security solutions including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, threat detection, and incident response systems. Mentor and guide a team of information security engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation. Collaborate closely with DevOps, SRE, and product teams to embed security throughout the CI/CD pipeline and development lifecycle. Conduct in-depth security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for new systems and features. Develop and maintain security automation tools and scripts to enhance operational efficiency and security posture. Stay at the forefront of emerging security threats and technologies, proactively recommending and implementing countermeasures. Contribute to the development of security roadmaps and strategic initiatives. Act as a key technical advisor on security matters for internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field; PhD is a plus. 8+ years of experience in information security engineering, with at least 4 years in a senior or lead capacity. Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing security for large-scale cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Deep expertise in network security, system hardening, cryptography, IAM, and application security. Proven experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines. Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash). Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and projects. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Experience with threat modeling, incident response, and security automation. Relevant advanced certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, CCSP, or cloud-specific security architect certifications are highly valued. Comfortable and effective working in a fully remote, globally distributed team environment.
