About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Lead Information Security Engineer for a fully remote position. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of advanced security solutions that protect the organization's critical infrastructure and data. You will lead initiatives to enhance our security posture, mentor junior team members, and stay ahead of emerging threats. Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage robust security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Lead security incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing to identify and remediate security gaps.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the organization's defense capabilities.
• Mentor and guide junior security engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in information security engineering and architecture.
• Expertise in network security, cryptography, security operations, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing security projects.
• Relevant advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly preferred.
