Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Information Security Lead to steer our cybersecurity strategy and execution from anywhere in South Africa. You will guide security initiatives, mentor a team, and drive risk management across the organization.

The role requires 7+ years in information security with at least 3 in leadership, deep knowledge of ISO 27001/NIST, and excellent remote collaboration skills to align IT and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of information security experience, with at least 3 in a leadership or lead role.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing comprehensive cybersecurity programs.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST), risk management, and threat intelligence.
• Strong understanding of network, cloud, application security, and data protection.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, especially in remote settings.
