Placements24 is seeking a Lead Geotechnical Engineer to lead complex geotechnical assessments for major infrastructure projects on a fully remote basis in South Africa. You will guide projects, mentor junior engineers, and liaise with clients and regulators to ensure safe, compliant designs.

The role requires a Master's/PhD in Geotechnical Engineering, Pr.Eng registration with ECSA, and 10+ years of infrastructure geotechnical experience.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional registration as a Pr.Eng with ECSA.
• Minimum 10 years of extensive geotechnical experience focused on infrastructure projects.

Responsabilités

• Lead geotechnical investigations for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Perform advanced analyses including slope stability and settlement analysis; design foundations.
• Develop geotechnical reports and design drawings for various foundation types.
• Review and approve geotechnical designs and reports by other engineers.
