Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Electrical Systems Architect for its fully remote engineering division to shape renewable energy technologies. You will define architectures for scalable, reliable, and high-performance electrical systems across global projects.

The role calls for a visionary leader with deep expertise in power electronics, energy storage, and grid-connected systems, plus strong mentoring and remote collaboration skills. This remote-first position offers global impact.

Qualifications

Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
10+ years in electrical system design and architecture with focus on power electronics, energy storage, or grid-connected systems.
Proven track record of designing complex, large-scale electrical systems.
Deep understanding of power system analysis, control theory, and hardware/software co-design.
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, and system modeling.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts.
Proven ability to work remotely and collaborate across distributed teams.
Experience with safety standards and regulatory compliance in energy.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve the overall electrical system architecture for new and existing products, focusing on renewable energy integration and grid modernization.
Develop high-level system designs, technical specifications, and architectural documentation.
Lead the technical design reviews and provide expert guidance on electrical system design choices.
Collaborate with product management, software development, and hardware engineering teams to translate requirements into robust electrical system designs.
Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with electrical system design and implementation.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure architectures remain state-of-the-art.
Mentor and guide a global team of electrical engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Troubleshoot complex system-level issues and develop effective solutions.
