Placements24 is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to spearhead the design and execution of major civil infrastructure projects. Based in Tembisa, Gauteng, ZA, you will guide remote teams focusing on water, sanitation, transport, and land development with a strong leadership and client-facing focus.

The role demands 10+ years’ progressive civil engineering and project management experience, Pr.Eng registration, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• Pr.Eng registration or equivalent is mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive civil engineering design and project management experience.
• Proven expertise in geometric design, hydrology, hydraulics, and urban planning.
• Proficient in Civil 3D, GIS and relevant modeling tools.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, planning, and oversight of civil projects including roads, drainage, water, and wastewater facilities.
• Develop project plans, cost estimates, and technical specs ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Manage project teams and mentor engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate with government agencies and consultants for approvals and execution.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to identify requirements and risks.
• Prepare detailed drawings, reports, and construction documentation.
• Implement quality control to ensure design integrity and performance.
• Stay updated on innovative civil engineering technologies and sustainable practices.
• Communicate progress, risks, and resolutions to senior management and clients via virtual channels.
• Support business development through proposal work and client relationships.
