Placements24 seeks a Lead Civil Engineer to spearhead major infrastructure projects in Tembisa, Gauteng. This senior role requires vision and strong technical leadership to drive design from concept through handover, ensuring quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, review complex designs, and coordinate with clients and authorities to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

Senior Lead Civil Engineer with substantial project leadership experience.
Experience in infrastructure development sector.
Ability to manage complex civil engineering projects from concept to handover.
Strong understanding of quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

Provide expert technical guidance and leadership on all civil engineering aspects of infrastructure projects.
Develop and review detailed engineering designs, plans, and specifications for roads, bridges, water systems, and other public works.
Manage project teams, including junior engineers, technicians, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Oversee the planning and execution of construction phases, ensuring compliance with design specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments for proposed developments in Tembisa, Gauteng.
Ensure adherence to all relevant engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with clients, government agencies, stakeholders, and other consultants to facilitate project progress.
Manage procurement processes for materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
