Placements24 is partnering with a forward-thinking technology solutions provider to hire an IT Support Technician in Centurion, Gauteng. This fully remote role offers occasional on-site requirements and a chance to support internal staff and external clients across the organization.

You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, manage user accounts and devices, perform backups, and collaborate with senior IT staff on projects while upholding IT security best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical support role.
• Proficient with Windows and macOS, and Microsoft Office.
• Desirable certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+ or Microsoft Certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level technical support via remote access, phone, and email.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, OS, and network devices.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and core business apps.
• Manage user accounts and access in Active Directory and related systems.
• Perform system maintenance, updates, patches, and backups.
• Monitor security and performance; address issues proactively.
• Document procedures and solutions in the knowledge base.
• Assist with IT asset management, inventories, and procurement.
• Collaborate with senior staff on projects and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security best practices.
