Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer based in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa. The role focuses on advanced technical support for IT infrastructure, diagnosing issues across servers, networks, and end-user environments.

Qualifications

At least 4 years in technical support or systems administration.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems reported by end-users and system alerts.
Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and network devices.
Manage and monitor IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve escalated technical issues.
Provide technical guidance and training to junior support staff and end-users.
Participate in the planning and implementation of new IT projects and infrastructure upgrades.
Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices across all IT systems.
